Juventus have had a swap deal offer rejected by Chelsea for Emerson Palmieri according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Bianconeri are keen to add the Brazilian born Italian national team player to their ranks and offered Mattia De Sciglio to the Premier League side and were also willing to add some cash on top.

Chelsea rejected the offer though and hit back with a counter-offer. Chelsea manager Frank Lampard would like Alex Sandro in exchange for Emerson Palmieri and it now remains to be seen whether Juventus will give up the former Real Madrid player, who Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri rates highly.

Juventus are not the only club to have shown an interest in signing Emerson Palmieri ahead of the upcoming transfer window with several reports elsewhere in the media stating that Inter are also keen on adding him to their ranks.
