Inter have taken to social media platform Instagram to share five little known facts about legendary former goalkeeper Walter Zenga.

Zenga started his senior career at Inter and spent a total of 16 years with the club before departing for fellow Serie A side Sampdoria in 1994.

Zenga is widely regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers the club have ever had. In 473 appearances across all competitions for the club, he kept a total of 194 clean sheets.

The club posted: “5 things you didn’t know about Walter Zenga.
1) Walter Zenga was the first goalkeeper to enter into the Inter Hall of Fame.
2) From Macallesi to Inter’s youth teams: he was always a Nerazzurri fan.
3) Not just Inter: the other six shirts worn by Zenga were those of Salernitana, Savona, Sambenedettese, Sampdoria, Padova and New England Revolution.
4) He won the World’s Best Goalkeeper Award three years in a row.
5) He loves repeating the most Nerazzurri of quotes: “The game I’d like to replay is my debut for Inter, that way I could play 472 more.”
