Barcelona can only do a move for Lautaro Martinez at the start of the next financial year according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Barcelona are going through a far from easy time financially at the moment, despite their great ability to create enormous revenue. The club have lost some €154 million as a direct consequence of the pandemic and will be forced to make a number of sales to balance the books by the end of this month.
Although Barcelona will not be able to move for him until at least July 1, Inter’s stance will still be the same for the player.
The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that Inter will continue to demand at least €90 million for the highly rated 22-year-old forward and with regard to potential counterparts, Junior Firpo is currently the most credible name.
