In the coming months Lautaro Martinez will have to prove that he is worthy of playing alongside Lionel Messi at Barcelona according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The 22-year-old Inter striker has been heavily linked with a potential switch to the La Liga powerhouses ahead of the upcoming transfer window and the report details how he will now have to manage the increased pressure that he will find himself under on the pitch due to all the rumours circulating in the media.

With different personal and team objectives there for him to hit, an important few months await the Argentine national team forward, who is widely regarded as one of the best young strikers out there at the moment.

This season Lautaro, who has a contract with Inter until 2022/23 season, has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
