Inter and Hellas Verona are in talks over the possibility of extending Eddie Salcedo’s loan until the end of next season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian youth national team player joined the Gialloblu club on a season long loan this past Summer and although he has spent a long time on the sidelines due to injury, they are working to extend his loan deal with them for another season.

The 18-year-old striker has made 10 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored one goal.

Reports in the media have suggested that Inter could potentially use Salcedo as a bargaining chip in a deal for central defender Marash Kumbulla. Other reports have meanwhile suggested he could return to Inter and be incorporated into the first team and take the place of Sebastiano Esposito who is set to be loaned out.
