Inter are set to offer midfielder Marcelo Brozovic a new and improved contract according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report explains that Inter are ready to give him a new four year contract until 2024 that will come with an increased annual salary of €4 million net a year. Moreover, the Croatian national team player’s €60 million release clause will be removed as part of the new deal.

Since Luciano Spalletti deployed Brozovic in the role of regista in March 2018, the former Dinamo Zagreb player has been absolutely pivotal for Inter and was a key cog in Spalletti’s side until his departure and he remains a key part of current manager Antonio Conte’s side.

This season the 27-year-old has made 32 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park he has scored three goals and has provided five assists for his teammates.
