Inter will be in a strong position if they are to sit around the negotiating table with Barcelona over Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia which was aired a short time ago.

Thanks to the €58 million sale of Mauro Icardi to Paris Saint-Germain, Inter have cash in the bank and do not need to sell the highly rated 22-year-old Argentine nor do they have to enter into negotiations for him with Barcelona or any other interested club.

The report explains that even in the event that Inter agree to have negotiations with Barcelona in order to please the player, they would still be in a strong position to demand what they want for him and have the possibility of selling him for his €111 million release clause.

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the pitch, he has scored 16 goals and provided a total of four assists for his teammates.
