Inter is in pole position to sign Edinson Cavani but the player wants to finish the season with Paris Saint-Germain before leaving for a new club, according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.com.

Cavani is yet to make a decision on which club he will move to with one of the main reasons behind this being the offers he has received thus far all fall short of what he is looking for.

As per the report, Inter have proposed a two year contract with an annual salary of €7.5 million a year but Cavani is looking for an annual salary of €10 million instead.

Atletico Madrid are also interested in signing the 33-year-old Uruguayan national team player, whose contract with the French capital city club is set to expire.

This season Cavani, who has been with his current employers since 2013, has made 22 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored seven goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
