Juventus and AC Milan did not want to do Inter a favour by switching the date of their Coppa Italia semi final second leg according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Bianconeri and Rossoneri are due to face off on June 12 whilst Inter are due to play away to Napoli the following day.

Inter had asked for the fixtures to be reversed to avoid the possibility of having to play three games in the space of eight days which would be the case if they made it to the final, which will be played on June 17 and due to them being the only one of the four semi finalists who will play on June 20.

In order for the dates to have been changed, Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli would all have had to agree but Juventus and AC Milan in particular opposed the idea.
