A report from Italian news outlet ANSA has confirmed rumours that Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali appreciates Inter’s interest and has chosen the club due to the future project.

The report details how the 20-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to Brescia until 2022, was convinced by coach Antonio Conte and the Suning group’s project at the Milanese club. The player would join the small core of young Italian players in the squad, like Nicolo Barella, Stefano Sensi and Alessandro Bastoni.

Inter now need to reach an agreement with Brescia and their president Massimo Cellino, the report highlights. The Lombard club want at least €50 million for the 20-year-old Italian, but they would be willing to accept the Nerazzurri’s offer of an expensive loan deal with a buy obligation attached with a figure equal to the player’s value.

Tonali has scored one goal and provided five assists in 24 appearances this season across all competitions.
