Racing club president Victor Blanco, the former home of Inter star Lautaro Martinez, discussed the 22-year-old and his possible move to Spanish giants Barcelona in an interview with Argentinian media outlet Iamnoticias earlier today.

“Lautaro Martinez’ move to Barcelona? That would be magnificent. But let’s wait and see how and if the negotiations will be concluded.”

Barcelona are incredibly keen to sign the 22-year-old Lautaro, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2023. The Argentine forward has a release clause of €111 million, a figure that Barcelona cannot afford. Instead, the Catalan club have been hoping to offer Inter a mixture of cash and players in order to convince the Milanese side to let the player ago.

The Blaugrana have already reached an agreement with Lautaro for a five-year contract, meaning that an agreement with the Nerazzurri is the last requirement. Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2437 minutes. In that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists.
