Barcelona risk losing Inter striker Lautaro Martinez to Real Madrid or Manchester United if the Blaugrana fail to close out the deal, according to a report from Spanish media outlet Marca earlier today.

The report details how the Catalan club have long been trying to sign the 22-year-old Inter striker but cannot afford to pay his €111 million release clause. Whilst they have been trying to reach an agreement with the Nerazzurri for some time now, they risk missing out on the player because of financial issues.

The club want to postpone the deal, and they have asked their staff to further lower their salary for the next season due to their expected losses of €150 million at the end of June.

Real Madrid and Manchester United are both interested in Lautaro, the report continues, and may take advantage of the fact that Barcelona have failed to secure the 22-year-old Argentine striker’s signature.
