Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin is convinced that Inter will only let Lautaro Martinez depart the club if his €111 million release clause is met.
The highly rated 22-year-old Argentine national team striker has been heavily linked with a potential move to Barcelona ahead of the upcoming transfer window and there is great uncertainty as to whether he will stay at Inter or go to the Blaugrana.
“Inter want all €111 million (or slightly less) and that is a certainty. Another certainty is that Barcelona does not have that amount of money,” Biasin began his latest editorial for Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.
Biasin then speculated about players who Inter could potentially make a move for in the event that Lautaro does go on to leave the club in the coming months.
“Some people think Chiesa, others think Cavani, others think both. Marotta has liked Chiesa for some time and even if he arrives, he will not be the only one.”
He then went on to discuss the future of Roma attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, who has drawn links to a few different clubs as of late.
“There are people saying Juventus are interested and others say Inter are ready to offer Nainggolan but I think he will stay at Roma.”
In conclusion Biasin revealed that Inter have an agreement in principle over personal terms with Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali.
“Inter and the midfielder have an agreement, one with Cellino remains to be found. The Nerazzurri don’t want to go beyond €40 million, whilst Brescia want more. It will take time but a Barella style deal seems more than possible.”
