Inter are doubting whether or not to sign Fiorentina owned Cristiano Biraghi on a permanent basis due to increased interest in Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
According to the report, the Nerazzurri have doubts about signing Biraghi due to his less than convincing performance as well as Antonio Conte being keen on being reunited with Chelsea and Italian national team full back Emerson Palmieri.
However, Inter could still end up paying the €12 million option to Fiorentina for Biraghi, the report continues. This because he would be particularly useful in terms of meeting registration requirements for UEFA competitions when it comes to homegrown players. Biraghi came up the youth ranks at Inter.
The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to add that Inter will only sign Biraghi permanently if Fiorentina sign Dalbert on a permanent basis from the Nerazzurri.
