Legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo has discussed several Inter related topics, including the future of striker Lautaro Martinez.

The highly rated 22-year-old continues to be heavily linked with a potential move to Barcelona and the Brazilian sang the praises of the Argentine national team striker.

“Lautaro Martinez is an excellent striker, he is already at a great team in Inter. Let’s see what happens in the transfer market,” he explained in a Zoom interview with Banco Santander yesterday afternoon.

“I can’t decide for him or give him advice but I do wish him the best. I would also say that playing for Inter or for Barcelona is not a problem.”

Ronaldo then went on to discuss former Inter teammate Alvaro Recoba: “Chino was an incredible player. He surprised the world, but not me with his incredible left foot. I send him a big hug.”

Ronaldo, who is now the owner of Spanish side Real Valladolid then proceeded to open the door to Alexis Sanchez, who is currently on loan at Inter, arriving at his club.

“Alexis Sanchez has always done well everywhere he has played. If he can’t do it at Inter, Valladolid opens the doors to welcome him.”

The former Real Madrid striker was then asked about Inter’s upcoming Europa League clash with La Liga outfit Getafe: “Inter are favourites against Getafe.”

He also briefly praised Barcelona and Chilean national team midfielder Arturo Vidal, who has been linked with a potential move to Inter in the coming months: “He could play in any team in the world.”

Ronaldo joined Inter in a then world record transfer from Barcelona back in 1997 and spent a total of five years with the club. In 98 games for the club, he scored 59 goals and tallied 11 assists.
