Inter have taken no steps toward signing Real Madrid full back Achraf Hakimi according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Inter are one of a host of clubs to have shown an interest in the Spanish born Moroccan national team defender, who is currently out on loan at Borussia Dortmund, ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The report goes on to explain that Real Madrid would like to keep a hold of the 21-year-old and manager Zinedine Zidane is prepared to give Hakimi a shot in the first team following his highly successful loan with Borussia Dortmund.

As things currently stand, Inter are far away from bringing Hakimi, who would be a perfect fit for Antonio Conte’s style of play, to the club.

This season Hakimi has made 44 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park he has scored nine goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.
