Inter are close to signing Swiss talent Darian Males, beating out Atalanta and Valencia for his signature, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are close to closing out the deal for the 19-year-old Swiss-Serbian forward, who is contracted to FC Lurzen until 2022. The player will cost around €4 million and he will be immediately loaned out to Parma, where he will be able to develop and earn some first team playing time.

Males is a centre forward or left winger, the report continues, who has been compared to Atalanta talisman Josip Ilicic. Both Spanish side Valencia and fellow Italian side Atalanta have been keen to sign the player as well, but lost out to the Milanese club. Males has made 22 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1390 minutes. In that time, he has scored two goals and provided four assists.
