Inter are refusing to give Barcelona a discount on Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, despite the player’s desire to join the Blaugrana, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how the Nerazzurri management have made it clear to the Catalan side that they will give no discount on the 22-year-old Argentine striker, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2023. Negotiations are currently on hold, as Inter reiterate to Barcelona that they will need to pay Lautaro’s €111 million release clause if they want to sign him in the summer.
Inter don’t want to negotiate the future of Lautaro whilst the season is still ongoing, the report continues, and so they will wait until late August to negotiate a deal. Lautaro has made 32 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2508 minutes. In that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists.
