Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi is expected to recover from his hamstring injury in mid-July, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 24-year-old Italian midfielder, who is currently on loan from Sassuolo with a buy option attached, was hoping to return to the season in full physical fitness, but suffered a slight pain in a recent training session. He will still be signed by Inter in the summer, with the club not breaking their agreement with the Neroverdi.

Inter are hoping that Sensi will be fit by the 13th July, the report continues, in time for the league clash against Torino, three days after their game against SPAL. The player has struggled with injuries throughout this season after starting strongly, disappointing many as his first six games in an Inter shirt made him the talk of Italy. He scored three goals and provided four assists in the first six league games of the season.
