Inter target Marash Kumbulla has agreed to join Lazio, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper il Messaggero.
The report details how the 20-year-old Albanian defender, who is contracted to Hellas Verona until 2022, refused Napoli in January due to his desire to play regularly and is now keen to join Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio squad. The Gialloblu are happy to allow Kumbulla to join the Roman club and will not accept the superior offers from Inter and Juventus, who are also both keen to sign the Albanian.
Hellas Verona want €30 million for Kumbulla, the report continues, even though they accepted a €23 million offer from Napoli in the January transfer window. Lazio’s goal is to pay €18-20 million, pushing on the player’s desires. Kumbulla has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1581 minutes. In that time, he has scored once and helped the side keep seven clean sheets.
