Italian Media Claim Inter Looking For A Permanent Solution For Radja Nainggolan This Summer

Inter are looking for a solution regarding Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri sent the 32-year-old Belgian midfielder out on loan to Cagliari last summer, not wanting to include the former Roma man in coach Antonio Conte’s future project.

It was only a dry loan and the Sardinian side cannot afford either his cost or his wages, and so the player will return to Milan at the end of the season.

Rather than integrating Nainggolan into the squad, the Nerazzurri are looking for a new home for the Belgian, the report continues. The club are hoping to build a younger midfield with stars like Sandro Tonali and so don’t want the aging Belgian to play an important role in the squad according to the report.

Nainggolan has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1943 minutes. In that time, he has scored five goals and provided six assists.
