Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali is still a top priority for Inter, who are hoping to sign the 20-year-old Italian midfielder in the summer, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are incredibly keen to sign Tonali, who has impressed in his debut season in Serie A with Brescia. The Lombard club are hoping to start a bidding war for the player, as Juventus, Fiorentina and other top clubs around Europe are also interested in signing the 20-year-old Italian.

Inter hold an unusual advantage, the report continues, as Tonali’s grandmother is a lifelong fan of the Nerazzurri, and she has told him to join the Milanese side. The 20-year-old Italian midfielder has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2130 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided five assists.
