Inter are leading the race to sign highly rated Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

Inter have been courting the Italian national team player for some time now and have already made contact with his current employers over a transfer, which could cost them in the region of €50 million.

“It appears that there has already been initial contact between the two clubs. Others will follow, of course, but at the moment the Nerazzurri club is ahead in the race for the player,” Sky Sport Italia journalist Luca Marchetti explained whilst present in the Sky Sport Italia studios earlier on this evening.

Inter’s arch rivals Juventus have also been heavily linked with a potential move for the 20-year-old sensation, who is widely regarded as one of the best Italian prospects out there at the moment.

This season Tonali has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totals just over 2100 minutes, he has scored one goal and has provided a total of five assists for his teammates.
