Pordenone’s technical director Matteo Lovisa has addressed the recent speculation in the media regarding Michele Di Gregorio, who is on loan at them from Inter.

The young shot stopper joined the Neroverdi club on a season long loan this past Summer and has massively impressed during his spell with them.

Recent reports in the Italian media have suggested that newly promoted side Monza have already wrapped up a deal to sign Di Gregorio in the upcoming transfer window from Inter.

“How much has the speculation annoyed me? More than annoyed, I am happy for him because he was ready following Bindi’s injury to prove his real worth on the field,” Lovisa remarked in an interview with Italian news outlet TuttoPordenone.com.

“I also believe in Michele’s professionalism and I am convinced that until the end of the year he will give his best for this shirt. Talking about the transfer market today is premature, Inter own him and we will try to talk to each other but if Monza have already concluded a deal what is there to say? Well done to them.”

Whilst on loan at Pordenone, 22-year-old Di Gregorio, who has a contract with Inter until 2022, has made 27 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, he has managed to keep nine clean sheets.

Di Gregorio is a product of Inter’s youth academy and has also had loan spells with Renate, Novara and Avellino during the early years of his professional career.
