Barcelona could be forced to give up on their efforts to sign Inter’s Lautaro Martinez and are looking at Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, who the Nerazzurri were eyeing up as a replacement should Lautaro Martinez leave the Nerazzurri.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who moments ago on air, declared that a new rule which is expected to be imposed in La Liga soon, could effectively kill Barcelona’s hopes of being able to sign Lautaro Martinez this summer.

La Liga are expected to impose a new rules which would limit the amount that Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are allowed to spend to 25% of how much their earn, according to the report.

Should this be imposed Barcelona would not in any way be able to come close to satisfying Inter’s €111 million price tag on Lautaro Martinez.

Therefore, according to Di Marzio, Barcelona are looking to block Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whose contract expires next summer and who would be much cheaper.
