Gabriele Zappa has admitted that whilst he would have liked to have made an appearance for Inter’s first team, he has no regrets about his years with Inter.

Zappa spent several years in Inter’s youth ranks and made 86 appearances between under 17 and Primavera level, during which he scored three goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.

He made the bench for some first team matches during his time with the club but was never fortunate enough to take to the field.

“I certainly would have liked to have made my first team debut with Inter in official matches. It was my childhood dream to do that but I have no regrets, everyone has his time,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia last night.

The young full back joined current employers Pescara in January 2019 from Inter and was loaned back to Inter’s Primavera side for the remainder of last season.

This term the Italian under 20 national team prospect has played semi regularly for the Serie B outfit with him having made 15 appearances across all competitions to date.

In his time on the park, which totals just over 1200 minutes, Zappa has scored four goals and has provided a single assist for his Delfini teammates.
