Alexis Sanchez would have to agree to a pay cut if he wishes to remain with Inter past the end of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The Chilean national team attacker is currently on loan at Inter from Premier League side Manchester United, who are paying more than half of his annual €12 million salary.
The report explains that the former Barcelona and Arsenal player would have to take a big cut to his wages in order to convince Inter to pursue a permanent move to sign him and end his nightmare spell with the Red Devils.
Antonio Conte and what he wants will be decisive in any decision too and Sanchez has a few months left to convince the Nerazzurri that they should be looking to keep him at the club.
Whilst on loan, the 31-year-old has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided three assists.
