Barcelona have identified a couple of alternatives to Inter striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

The Blaugrana club have been courting the highly rated 22-year-old for some time now but new La Liga regulations relating to how much clubs can invest in transfers have complicated their pursuit of the Argentine national team player.

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is Barcelona’s first alternative to Lautaro. The Gabonese forward’s contract with his current employers is due to expire at the end of next season and would be far cheaper than Lautaro to sign.

The other alternative that Barcelona have in mind is Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani, who will soon become a free agent.

The Uruguayan national team player has always been intrigued by the prospect of playing in Spain and has also been linked with Inter and Atletico Madrid as of late.
