Inter are still unsure who will be the backup for captain Samir Handanovic next season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 35-year-old Slovenian shot stopper is set to renew his contract for a further season, until 2022, and so the Milanese club need to decide who will provide backup for the player next season. Several ideas have been put forward, like Udinese number one Juan Musso, and a possible return of 23-year-old Romanian goalkeeper Andrei Ionut Radu.

The Nerazzurri’s second and third choice goalkeepers Daniele Padelli and Tommaso Berni have extended their current contracts until the end of the season, the report continues, with both players due to be free agents at the end of this season. The former Torino shot stopper will signed a new contract for another season, being the third choice goalkeeper for Inter.
