Italian football journalist Mario Sconcerti believes that Andrea Belotti would be ideal for Inter but will stay with current employers Torino.

The Nerazzurri club have seemingly sparked an interest in adding the Granata captain to their ranks in the event that Lautaro Martinez is to depart the club amid ongoing links to Spanish powerhouses Barcelona.

Reports in the media have suggested that Inter could perhaps offer one of Andrea Pinamonti, Roberto Gagliardini or Radja Nainggolan plus cash to Torino in exchange for Belotti, who they reportedly value in the region of €40 million.

“I think Belotti would do well everywhere but he will stay in Turin. It would be an unpopular transfer if Cairo sold him and would put the club in difficulty. The ideal club for him would be Inter, paired with Lukaku,” Sconcerti remarked in an interview with Italian radio station TMW Radio yesterday afternoon.

This season Belotti, who has been with Torino since 2015 and has a contract with them until 2022, has made 33 appearances across all competitions to date.

During his time on the park, which totals just under 2900 minutes, he has scored 16 goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
