Inter are interested in signing Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, should they sell Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona in the summer, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper la Repubblica.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are still holding out for €111 million for the 22-year-old Lautaro, who Barcelona are incredibly keen to sign in the summer transfer window. Should the striker be sold to the Blaugrana, Inter have been looking for an adequate replacement, with Martial being one of the top choices.

The 24-year-old Frenchman has impressed this season with Manchester United, the report continues, and the Nerazzurri believe he could be the perfect replacement for Lautaro. Martial has made 36 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2684 minutes. In that time, he has scored 19 goals and provided five assists. An alternative to the Frenchman would be Roma’s Edin Dzeko, who Inter tried to sign last summer.
