Inter’s signing of Real Madrid right back Achraf Hakimi will send out an important message to the footballing world, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are set to sign the 21-year-old Moroccan right back over the next few days, with only a few details still remaining unfinished. The player, who has impressed this season whilst on loan with Borussia Dortmund, will cost the Milanese club around €40-45 million, with Inter offering Hakimi a five-year contract worth €5 million net per season.

Manchester City and Bayern Munich were both keen to sign Hakimi, the report continues, but the Nerazzurri’s ability to attract the player to their project has shown the football world that Inter are an attractive destination once again, with stars like Romelu Lukaku and Christian Eriksen helping to attract higher profile players, who want to be a part of coach Antonio Conte’s project.
