Inter defender Diego Godin is set to start for the Nerazzurri against Parma tomorrow evening, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 34-year-old Uruguayan centre back, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2022, has started a league game since mid-February, when he played in the 2-1 defeat to Lazio in Rome. The former Atletico Madrid man will start on the left side of the back three, facing up against former transfer target Dejan Kulusevski, who will be joining Juventus in the summer.

Godin has been given the opportunity to start due to Milan Skriniar’s disqualification and Alessandro Bastoni’s shaky physical condition, the report continues. The veteran has the opportunity to impress coach Antonio Conte in the remaining games of the season and fight for a consistent starting spot again, although Lyon are interested should he decide to leave in the summer.
