Inter’s Sporting CEO Beppe Marotta stopped by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia moments ago, to share his thoughts on all things Nerazzurri, going into the match day 27 clash against Parma away at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, with kick off scheduled for 21.45 CET.

The former Juventus CEO was asked about the rumors that state that Real Madrid’s Moroccan international fullback Achraf Hakimi is on the verge of becoming an Inter player. Marotta confirmed that a deal was close, refusing to reply if Los Blancos have an option buy the player back, whilst also praising Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio as the person masterminding the whole operation.

“The aim of the club and by thanks to the will of the Zhang family, is to continue to make investments, therefore taking advantage of the opportunities that the transfer market offers.

“I wont hide the fact that we are at an advanced stage of the negotiations but I want to underline that we are still in a strange phase and I also want to underline the importance of the current squad that will take to the pitch tonight.

“Ausilio has done an excellent job, we still have to conclude the negotiations, however tomorrow will be an important day and we will see how we will resolve the situation. I am optimistic. Piero Ausilio ahs done great work these past few months.”

Marotta was asked if Inter have reached an agreement with Manchester United and Chelsea over extending the loan contracts of Alexis Sanchez and Victor Moses respectively to the end of the season, stating that it is an unusual situation that the Nerazzurri also find themselves in with Bayern Munich concerning Croatian international winger Ivan Perisic.

“This is a great regulatory anomaly that needs to be resolved because we are still dealing with Chelsea and Manchester United today to try to extend their loans. It is not a beautiful thing. We are also dealing with Bayern Munich over Ivan Perisic.”
