Ivan Perisic’s loan with Bayern Munich has been extended to enable him to feature in the latter stages of the Champions League according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

Perisic’s loan with the recently crowned Bundesliga champions was due to expire today but he has signed the relevant paperwork to extend the loan until the end of August. As part of his loan being extended until the end of August, the report claims that Perisic’s salary has been halved.

Bayern Munich had an option to sign Perisic outright for a sum of €20 million but that option has expired and reports elsewhere in the media have stated that Bayern Munich will not be signing him outright unless Inter give them a big discount.

Whilst on loan at the Bavaria based club, Perisic has made 30 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored six goals and provided nine assists.
