There is an agreement in principle between Inter and official car sponsor Volvo Italia regarding an extension to their long standing partnership according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The partnership between Inter and the automobile company began back in 2007 and Volvo have provided cars for players, coaching staff and club management ever since and have done several other things too.

The current contract is set to expire but there is an agreement in principle to extend the partnership although the report from the Rome based news outlet does not give any further detail on the agreement reached.

Earlier on this season, in collaboration with Volvo Italia, Inter inaugurated their new sky boxes at San Siro in the match against Parma as they welcomed cancer patients from Istituto dei Tumori in Milan and the paediatric haematology unit of the Maria Letizia Verga Centre.
