Romelu Lukaku could be granted a rare opportunity to rest for tomorrow’s match at home to Brescia according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Lukaku has played every minute of Inter’s post-Coronavirus lockdown fixtures and he could start the match from the bench which would mean Alexis Sanchez and Lautaro Martinez would form a tandem up top.
The Belgian national team player may not be the only player to come out of the starting lineup for the match against La Rondinelle, who currently sit bottom of the Serie A table.
Ashley Young, Victor Moses, Borja Valero could all also come into the starting lineup in place of Cristiano Biraghi, Antonio Candreva and Roberto Gagliardini respectively.
The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Diego Godin and Danilo D’Ambrosio are vying it out for the third spot in central defence, the other two spots will be occupied by Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni.
