Inter are interested in free agent Edinson Cavani but the player must reduce his wage demands according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

Cavani became a free agent today after his contract with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain expired and Inter and Roma are two of several clubs to have shown an interest in signing him.

The 33-year-old Uruguayan national team forward wants an annual salary of €12 million and even though Inter could sign him on a free transfer and thus save money by not needing to spend a transfer fee, he still needs to drop his demands in order for Inter to be able to sign him.

This past season the former Napoli striker, who spent the past seven years in the French capital city, made 22 appearances across all competitions to date.

In his time on the park, he scored seven goals and provided a total of three assists for his teammates.
