Former Barcelona and Argentine national team striker Javier Saviola has sang the praises of Inter and current Albiceleste representative Lautaro Martinez.

The highly rated 22-year-old forward is widely regarded as one of the best young strikers out there at the moment and he has found himself heavily linked with a potential move to Spanish giants Barcelona for some time now.

Recent reports in the media have however suggested that Lautaro will be staying with Inter for the time being with Barcelona unwilling to meet Inter’s demands for him and being limited by newly introduced La Liga rules which limit the amount of spending clubs can do.

“Lautaro is the striker I like best. I love his way of playing and his movements,” Saviola began an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena 3 which was broadcast yesterday afternoon.

“I hope his characteristics can be combined well with expert players, perhaps associated with Messi and be beneficial for the team.”

This season Lautaro, who has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 34 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, he has scored 17 goals and provided four assists.
