Alexis Sanchez could possibly start this weekend’s match at home to Bologna according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Chilean national team player came into the starting lineup in place of Romelu Lukaku for Wednesday night’s 6-0 win over Brescia and was the man of the match with him grabbing one goal and tallying two assists.

Such a performance could well earn him a starting spot in the team this weekend too but it remains to be seen who he would replace.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to discuss Sebastiano Esposito’s situation too after Lukaku was preferred to him when it came to replacing Lautaro Martinez last night in the second half.

The report explains that the decision to not give the highly rated teen sensation a run out could be down to the current issues in negotiations with the club over a new contract.
