Sandro Tonali is Inter’s number one target to reinforce the midfield in the upcoming transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Having convinced the player to join the club, Inter are hopeful of avoiding being caught up in a bidding war to sign him, especially with arch rivals Juventus who have also shown an interest in signing him.

Brescia president and owner Massimo Cellino is currently demanding €50 million for the highly rated Italian national team midfielder and should Brescia be relegated his price tag could drop.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta wants to spend €35 million on Tonali but could go as high as €40 million by including a player in a deal.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to add that Inter’s second target for the midfield is Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal, a player who Inter manager Antonio Conte has wanted ever since he took charge of the club.
