Bayern Munich wing-back David Alaba is under consideration by Inter as an option to reinforce the left hand side according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Austrian national team defender’s contract with the recently crowned German champions is set to expire at the end of next season and a contract extension with the Bavaria based club appears to be far away.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Inter’s arch rivals Juventus are also interested in Alaba, who is naturally a full back but more than capable of playing at centre back.

It also adds that Alaba likes the idea of a move to Spain with Real Madrid and Barcelona both understood to be interested in adding him to their ranks.

This season Alaba has made 37 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided two assists for his teammates.
