Inter have been interested in Bayern Munich wing-back David Alaba for some time now and met the player and his entourage before the Coronavirus lockdown, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset aired moments ago.

The report details how the 28-year-old Austrian travelled to Milan twice before the lockdown to meet Inter’s management with his father and agent Pini Zahavi. Alaba is valued at around €50 million, but his contract expires at the end of next season and currently a renewal doesn’t seem close.

Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in signing Alaba, the report continues, but the Nerazzurri have a plan.

The Milanese club are hoping to close out the deal in advance by offering Croatian forward Ivan Perisic and cash in exchange for the 28-year-old Austrian. Inter have also prepared a large salary to convince the player. Alaba has scored one goal and provided two assists in 37 games so far this season.
