Inter are interested in signing Atalanta left back Robin Gosens, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking to strengthen their left wing back role this week, after bringing in Real Madrid’s Achraf Hakimi to reinforce the right wing back role.

Whilst one of the top choices is Chelsea left back Emerson Palmieri, the Nerazzurri are also following Gosens closely. The 25-year-old German, who is contracted to Atalanta until 2022, has impressed this season under coach Gian Piero Gasperini and has attracted the attention of the Milanese club, the report continues.

Gosens has made 34 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 2690 minutes. In that time, he has scored ten goals and provided six assists.

The player has experience playing in the left wing back role under Gasperini and would be a good fit for coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system.
