Inter target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has asked Arsenal for a £250,000 per week contract, according to a report from international media outlet ESPN earlier today.

The report details how the 31-year-old Gabonese striker’s contract expires with the Gunners at the end of next season, and so the club have been working to try and offer the player a new contract, or else find buyers so he doesn’t leave on a free transfer next summer.

Aubameyang has asked Arsenal for a two-year contract extension that would see his wages rise to £250,000 per week. Despite the fact that Inter, Manchester United, Barcelona and Juventus are all interested in Aubameyang, the report continues, Arsenal are likely to accept their captain’s demands, which would satisfy coach Mikel Arteta, who is keen for the former Borussia Dortmund striker to remain in North London.

Aubameyang has scored 22 goals and provided two assists in 36 appearances so far this season.
