Davide Bettella is on the verge of completing a move to newly promoted Monza according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Italian youth national team defender will be joining from Atalanta, who has spent this season out on loan at Serie B side Pescara.

Bettella joined Atalanta in the Summer of 2018 from Inter and as part of the deal Inter obtained a buy back option on him but it is unclear how this will be impacted by his transfer to former AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi backed Monza.

Monza’s chief executive Adriano Galliani met with the youngsters agent Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Riso over the weekend to come to an agreement and it seems to be only a matter of time until the move is made official.

This season the 20-year-old has made 22 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided two assists.
