Nicolo Barella will miss at least Inter’s next match after tests have shown he has sustained a thigh injury, Inter have confirmed via an official statement posted on the official club website.

The Italian national team midfielder was forced to miss yesterday’s 2-1 loss to Bologna at San Siro due to an injury which has now been diagnosed as a right thigh adductor injury.

Inter go on to confirm that Barella’s condition will be reevaluated next week and it now remains to be seen whether or not he will be back for the match with Torino next Monday at San Siro.

Barella has been a key player for Antonio Conte’s side this term and is one of the most highly rated midfielders currently plying his trade in Serie A.

This term the 23-year-old has made 33 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, he has scored three goals and provided six assists.
