A report from Spanish media outlet Don Balon has suggested that Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal could be one of Inter’s next top transfer targets.

The report details how coach Antonio Conte is a big fan of the 33-year-old Chilean midfielder, who is contracted to the Blaugrana until the end of next season.

The Lecce born coach has been interested in bringing the former Juventus midfielder to Milan for some time now, but the Nerazzurri’s management would prefer to sign a younger player with more resale value.

Conte spoke to Vidal over the phone and reiterated how important the Chilean would be to the squad, the report continues. Vidal could now look to force a move away from Catalonia in order to be reunited with his former coach.

The deal wouldn’t be easy, and Inter would prefer to sign him without the player being included in a deal for Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez.
