The deal that saw Achraf Hakimi join Inter from Real Madrid was good for everyone for three reasons, according to a report from Spanish media outlet Fichajes yesterday.

The first is, the player will have a guaranteed starting position in the Inter squad and his performances at Borussia Dortmund have done enough to impress, making both clubs and the player happy.

The second positive factor is that Inter coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system will make Hakimi an important player, the report continues, as the player impresses in the attacking phase, an element he will be able to excel in considering Conte’s fondness of a back three.

The final reason is that the player suffers from issues with his defensive phase, the report continues, and returning to Real Madrid would have seen him suffer in the shadow of Dani Carvajal, who is strong both going forward and defending.

The  21-year-old Moroccan signed for the Nerazzurri in a deal worth €40 million plus €5 million in add-ons.
