Inter manager Antonio Conte wants at least five players signed to bolster the team according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Starting with the defence, Conte would like a left footed centre back brought in and Tottenham Hotspur’s Jan Vertonghen is on the list of players who Inter could potentially pursue.

Conte would also like a left wing back and wants reunited with Emerson Palmieri, who he worked with at Chelsea. The Italian is preferred to Marcos Alonso both due to costing €10/15 million less and having half as big a salary.

When it comes to the midfield, Conte wants Brescia’s Sandro Tonali and Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal but it cannot be excluded that Radja Nainggolan could be reinstated which would mean Vidal would not come in.

As for the attack, Conte is pushing for Edin Dzeko to be signed whilst a permanent move for on loan Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez as well as Hertha Berlin’s Mattheus Cunha, are also being considered.

Inter will look to fund the above moves with player sales and the report goes on to conclude that nine players could leave, some of whom are currently on loan at the club.

The nine players who could leave are Tommaso Berni, Diego Godin, Roberto Gagliardini, Matias Vecino, Victor Moses, Kwadwo Asamoah, Borja Valero, Cristiano Biraghi and Sebastiano Esposito, with the latter leaving on loan.
